A: No. For all Mobipocket eBooks you've purchased at eBookMall,
manage your PIDs with our
Mobipocket Device Manager.
Q: I'm trying to register a PID and I keep getting the error
message "Your Personal ID is not valid".
A: The
Personal ID is a 10-character string. In order to differentiate
numbers from letters, numbers are
underlined, or bold in version 4.7 and above in the PID
that is displayed in the About box of the Mobipocket Reader.
Letters are always in uppercase.
These are
some common mistakes when entering a PID:
- Mistake
an uppercase letter I (like in Italy) for the lower case letter l
(like in laptop)
- Mistake the letter Z for the number 7 underlined
- Uppercase letter I and number one 1
- Uppercase letter O and number zero 0
Additional information:
- If the
PID displayed in the About box of the Reader only has 8
characters, you will need to upgrade to the latest Mobipocket
Reader version to get a 10-character PID
- You must not enter the numbers as underlined in your account on
the website. Numbers are only underlined in the About box to help
you distinguish them from letters.
